Prof. Bashir Makhoul, President of University of Creative Arts (UK), Visited the Institute

On the afternoon of October 23th, the executive president of the Institute, Professor Zheng Tongtao and Vice President Wang Jiehua, accompanied by the heads of the School of Digital Media and the School of Design Art, met with Professor Bashir Makhoul, President of University of Creative Arts, at the Conrad Xiamen Hotel. The two sides conducted a friendly and in-depth discussion on the future development of the cooperation.
President Zheng welcomed President Makoul to Xiamen and introduced the history, professional setup and development of Xiamen Institute of Software Techonology. He pointed out that the School of Digital Media and the School of Design Art in the Institute are line with the curriculum of University of Creative Arts. He hoped that the two universities would have further exchanges and cooperation in the field of graphic design, animation design, advertising design, film and television editing, game design, product art design, and visual communication design and so on. President Makhoul expressed his great expectation for the future cooperation between the two universities. He introduced the basic situation of University of Creative Arts, declaiming that University of Creative Arts was the No.1 art university in UK and attached great importance to international exchanges and cooperation. It is hoped that the two universities will promote inter-school exchanges through various forms of cooperation projects, and provide a better platform for teacher cooperation and student exchange.
